I’ve seen a positive change not just in academics, but in their overall attitude and happiness.
Offer reproductive health education, promoting informed decision-making
Phanice Mukungu, 11, comes from a struggling family of eight in Western Kenya. With her parents working tirelessly as casual laborers, basic needs like housing are often out of reach. Despite these challenges, Phanice dreams big.
“I want to be a doctor one day,” she says confidently. “I want to help the sick and make my family proud.”
Thanks to HappyMeHappyYou, Phanice now attends a free school where she receives education, daily meals, and mentorship. “Before, I was always hungry in class,” she shares. “Now, I can focus on my studies and learn.”
Her favorite subjects, science and math, fuel her determination to succeed. She even shares her knowledge with her five younger sisters, inspiring them to dream too.
Phanice’s journey shows how opportunity changes lives. With support, her dream of becoming a doctor is closer than ever.
Ewa, a compassionate woman from Ireland, found a deep connection with HappyMeHappyYou through a shared life experience with its founder, Elvis—they both lost their parents at a young age. Driven by a desire to make a difference, Ewa began supporting the nonprofit, inspired by its tangible impact on children and families in Western Kenya.
“I see hope in every child HappyMeHappyYou empowers,” Ewa shares. “It’s incredible to be part of an organization creating lasting change.”
Her contributions have helped fund education and health programs, transforming lives. For Ewa, giving back is more than charity—it’s personal.
